Dear Parents,
I would like to introduce myself and briefly tell you about my views on early childhood education.
My name is Christina Gallar. I took my Montessori training in London, and my experience in Montessori education at various schools exceeds 20 years. I have owned and managed Montessori schools for over 15 years. Through all these years I was applying the Montessori philosophy on a daily basis, specializing in the care and education of children two to six years old. However, I understand the needs of parents and children not only from a professional standpoint, but also as a parent and grandparent.
The Over The Rainbow Montessori schools have been my dream, and the first one came true in 1996. The second came true in 2002, and both have been a labor of love. My third school came true in 2005, and my goal continues to be the same - to create the best possible learning environments, so that each and every child will be involved in a diverse learning atmosphere.
I know from my own experience how much can be accomplished when children are allowed the freedom to learn by themselves, and I feel that every child needs needs the freedom of self-development which only an adequate environment can provide. I believe strongly that the Montessori method really makes a difference in many children's lives. I also believe that virtually all children can benefit developmentally from exposure at home and at school to a prepared environment which is patterned on the Montessori model. The children are our future and we will do everything within our abilities to ensure that they reach beyond their potentials. The most important concerns at my schools will always be the health, safety and welfare of your children.
